Tupps Brewery makes some great session-able summer beers, some outstanding strong beers, and you can find them in Target.
Down in the hill country, west of Austin, there’s a brewery, on a ranch, nestled amongst the oak trees. Situated atop a natural aquifer--with, apparently, the right amount of salts to get a perfect, slightly tart, slightly hoppy, slightly malty profile--Jester King makes beers.
Tattoo Ranch is a scant handful of blocks from where we watched the cattle drive earlier—a short but entertaining affair performed twice daily on Exchange Avenue—but if you’re expecting either ten-gallon hats and cowboy boots, or a Sons of Anarchy-esque biker hangout, don’t.

Finger Lakes Distilling, located along Seneca Lake, small-batch distills some of the finest spirits I’ve tasted north of the Blue Ridge mountains, along with the only US-made Soju that I’ve had the joy of experiencing. The distillery, which opened in 2009, has a number of unique features, but I can’t find a single complaint.
